This is a wonderful resource from WGBH Boston. You will need to register, but it’s simple and painless. You will see a "Biotechnology" link to useful videos interactive tutorials and demonstrations. There are links to Applications, Careers, Concepts, Tools and Techniques and Lesson Plans. Most of the resources support the AMGEN-Bruce Wallace Labs. This is a quality site for your students to explore prior to lab days or to supplement discussions of theories.

One of the best web site for teaching resources. The site provides great animations and information to help engage your students in topics ranging from stem cells to gene therapy to cloning. There are several virtual labs, for example electrophoresis, that will get your students ready for the Amgen-Bruce Wallace Biotechnology labs.

Sandy Porter's content-rich tutorial site. The green arrow tutorials are extraordinary and user friendly, covering scientific graphing using Excel to BLAST searches to protein structure.

The Dolan DNA Learning Center, at Cold Spring Harbor Labs, has been a pioneer in bringing DNA science into classrooms. The site contains a wealth of information, historical and contemporary, related to DNA and molecular biology. The site contains wonderful animations covering complex cellular processes and laboratory techniques.

AGBIOS is a Canadian company dedicated to providing public policy, regulatory and risk assessment expertise for products of biotechnology. The web site provides an easy access into agricultural biotechnology and genetically modified foods.
